The book I chose for my blog is called "They Poured Fire on Us from the sky" by Benson Deng, Alephonsion Deng, and Benjamin Ajak. It's a true story based on three lost boys in Sudan. They are separated from their homeland because of the bombing and war that was going on across Sudan between 1987 and 1989 that came into their homeland called Dinkaland. These boys were known as the lost boys because they lost any type of parental guardians from the severe war in Africa. In 2001 they were relocated in a refugee camp in Kenya to the United States as part of  an international refugee relief camp where they met a lady name Judy A. Bernstein that changed their lifes in a good way.
I would definitely recommend this book to all my classmates because you get to know what is going on in the real world were thousands of people are starving to death due to wars or are dyeing of diseases without getting help from other countries. It also teaches you how children in Africa survive in the wildness.

  1. That is a great book to read about what's going on to people of Sudan TODAY. It's so sad to see little boys suffer so much in this day and age :(
