Talent is something you have innately. It doesn't make sense to say "I have become more talented." skills on the other can be developed. I can become more skilled. I would say that any artist no matter who they are, but it about passion of the art and what skilled i have, not talented. No artist starts out as a kindergartner painting masterpieces. Everyone starts at the same level as mine. I have to work my butts off to create the work my create. I do drawing everyday, i study, i read books, i go to the art museums, i am listening to critique, the practice, practice, and practice. Something on my mind say "I don't have talent" is the excuse give when i don't want to work hard at something. Some argue that while art is mostly a skill, there is some degree of talent involved. Some people's brains just work in a way that makes them more apt to perform certain tasks. This is i accept, but i think that the difference that talent makes is negligible. I'm sure there are people out there that would have talent in art if tried hard to develop that skill, but because they don't work at it their talent can't complete with the skills of less talented people that work their butts off. This art is about how much mean to me because of my personality, good artist, expose myself to lots of techniques, styles, and medium. i am enjoy to do arts just for fun. Talent is meaningless without skill.
I really like the tree drawing - the shading is nice, and it has a bleak, yet optimistic look about the scenery. You have a wonderful talent! Are you taking any art classes here at ECC?
